Annual and seasonal dynamic of mortality in Jewish autonomous region and in Birobidzhan

The analysis of annual and seasonal mortality dynamics in the Jewish Autonomous Region and in Birobidzhan is based on the data for the period of 2002-2012. Cardiovascular disease is the major cause of death. The rate of mortality for men and women rises with age. The maximum level of total mortality shows in winter, and its minimum values - in summer. The seasonal analysis reveals a higher mortality of men in winter, and women - in summer. The detailed analysis of two age groups has shown the maximum mortality rate for able-bodied citizens in the autumn period, and for those aged 65 and older - in winter.
