Interethnic relations between native and Russian population in the south of Enisei guberniya (second half of the XIXth – beginning of XXth centuries)

This article is devoted to the analysis of the interethnic relations between Khakasses and Russians in the second half of the XIXth – the beginning of the XXth centuries. The author examines the types, forms and nature of these relations. The study shows that the conflicts which took place in the region happened because of economical but not ethnical reasons. The Russification policy at the beginning of the XXth century contributed to the national consolidation of Khakas people.
