Interethnic relations in China and features of their state regulation at the present stage

The article presents an analysis of China's state policy in the sphere of interethnic relations at the present stage. The relevance and practical significance of the study of interethnic relations, the importance of their harmonization and effective regulation are determined. The ethnic composition of the People's Republic of China is characterized. A brief historical background of the interethnic situation in China and the peculiarities of the national policy implemented by the Chinese government have been introduced. The historical features of the interethnic situation in China are considered. The key directions of the CCP's policy, tasks and goals are characterized. The main principles of the modern concept of the CCP's national policy are examined. The recent measures taken by the Chinese government to harmonize interethnic relations in Chinese society are analyzed. Some normative acts that guarantee equality of all citizens on the basis of nationality in China and provide for their equal rights are described. The essence of national cohesion as one of the key tasks of national policy in modern China has been clarified. Some recommendations aimed at improving state policy in the sphere of regulation of interethnic relations are presented. It was found out that the experience of state regulation of interethnic relations in China can be used by the government of other states with the purpose of harmonization and adjustment of the interethnic situation in their countries.
