Quest for inspiration of Ivan S. Yefremov, art director of Primorsky drama theater named after M. Gorky (1945-1950)

The article is devoted to the Vladivostok period in life and creative work of Ivan Yefremov, a prominent stage director, Meritorious Artist of Russia. The issue is considered in close connection with the practice of the national theaters in those years, the realities of post-war time and the development of Moscow Art Theater that had a great impact on the formation of Ivan Yefremov as a serious artist who followed the traditions of the Russian realistic theater, inintiated by Stanislavskiy.
