Mythological motive "appearance of otherworld visitor" in V.G. Rasputin’s novel ‘Live and remember’

The article concerns a mythological motive «appearance of otherworld visitor», which was reflected in the Russian folkloristic stories and in V.G. Rasputin’s Novel ‘Live and Remember’. The use of modern Siberian folkloristic material enables to reveal the symbolic level of Rasputin’s prose, which ascends to traditional folk consciousness universals.
