Migration processes and demographic resource of Dagestan: trends and municipal features

The Republic of Dagestan is perceived in the expert community as one of the demographically prosperous regions of the Russian Federation with steadily high rates of natural population growth. Based on the analysis of statistical data and materials of sociological studies, the article describes the dynamics of demographic and migration processes in the Republic of Dagestan, leading to stabilization of the region’s population by reducing fertility and increasing migration outflow.
