The relevance of the study of population migration depends on the fact that the modern world is characterized by global migration processes. Without these processes, the normal functioning of the national economic complex of each country and the entire world economy would be impossible. Immigration flows affect interstate relations, demographic conditions, the formation of the labor market and the economy. The influx and outflow of immigrants have changed the state of the labor market, the crime rate and race relations. On January 1, 2022, Kyrgyzstan became the chairman of one of the main economic organizations in the post-Soviet space, namely the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The member States of the organization are directly facing the tasks of cooperation and improving the competitiveness of national economies, strengthening integration in the post-Soviet space and improving the welfare of the population. It is worth noting that migration processes remain an important aspect in the economic development and cohesion of the organization’s member countries. The epidemiological situation and the prolonged period of the COVID-19 pandemic negatively affected the labor migration of the population and forced governments to take urgent measures to resolve new challenges, but the crisis situation stabilized quickly enough. Currently, the demographic issue is becoming more and more urgent, namely migration processes both around the world and in some regions. This paper will analyze the migration situation in the Kyrgyz Republic as one of the factors of strengthening integration in the post-Soviet space.
