Samara «migrant clusters»: political aspect

Бесплатный доступ

Migrants in Samara occupy certain economic niches, which would be extent in future. The economy of Samara will hardly be able to develop effectively without the involvement of migrants. In contemporary conditions, migration policy is becoming one of the priorities in the political and economic life of our country; that's why balanced and informed decisions of the legislative and executive power can have a positive impact on the migration situation and promote the development of our region. The migrants form a kind of «clusters» in urban space. Such «clusters» include municipal facilities, where migrant labor is the most widely used (markets, retailers, and supermarkets), adjacent residential neighborhoods, infrastructure (schools, health facilities, etc.). If the number of migrants in such migrant «cluster» increases, the local population will feel the pressure in the political sphere which will especially escalate during the election periods.
