The article presents the results of prostate gland micromorphology in male Beagle dogs. This study was conducted at the Department of Anatomy, Histology, Physiology and Pathological Anatomy of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education Omsk State Agrarian University. The objects of the study were the material obtained from sexually mature males aged five years, admitted to the veterinary clinic EUROVET in Omsk for medical euthanasia according to indications. The histological material was collected according to the generally accepted method. Hematoxylin and eosin, as well as Van Gieson, were used for staining the sections. The study involved morphological, histological, morphometric and statistical methods of analysis. Statistical data processing was performed using specialized software Statistica version 10.0, using Student's t-test as the main means of assessing the reliability of differences. The results showed that the capsule of the left lobe of the prostate gland has a thickness of 994.63 ± 77.13 μm, and the capsule of the right lobe is 904.84 ± 71.09 μm. Measurements of the diameter of arteries and veins revealed values of 53.25 ± 1.21 μm for the left lobe and 60.25 ± 1.01 μm for the right. Capillary vessels and nerves in the left lobe are 69.26 ± 2.6 μm, while in the right lobe they are 75.11 ± 2.9 μm. As for the acini of the prostate gland, their size in the left lobe is 18.03 ± 1.8 μm, in the right - 25.07 ± 2.3 μm. The capsule of the prostate gland of the left lobe is larger than that of the right by about 9.9%. A similar pattern is also observed in relation to the arteries and veins of both lobes. It is noteworthy that the acini of the prostate gland of the left lobe are approximately 39% smaller than the right one.
