The article presents the results of micromorphology of testis and epididymis in hares. The research was carried out at the Department of Anatomy, Histology, Physiology and Pathological Anatomy of the Omsk State Agrarian University. The objects of the study were the material obtained from sexually mature male rabbits of the California breed in the amount of five heads. For histological examination, pieces of organs were selected according to the generally accepted method. The sections were stained with hematoxylin and eosin, as well as by the Van Gieson method. Morphological, histological, morphometric and statistical research methods were used. The testis is surrounded by two sheets of the vaginal membrane with a cavity between them, where the protein shell is located. The thickness of the vaginal membrane of the right testis varies within 105.86 ± 2.00 microns, the left - 84.11 ± 3.24 microns. The thickness of the protein shell of the right testis varies within 143.21 ± 2.99 microns, the left - 135.77 ± 3.01 microns. The small diameter of the lumen of the convoluted tubule of the right testis is 1.7 times smaller than the left one. It is worth noting that the average diameter of the lumen of the convoluted tubule of the right testis is slightly larger than the left one. The same pattern is observed in the diameter of the small, medium, large convoluted tubule. It was noted that the large diameter of the lumen of the convoluted tubule of the right testis is 1.7 times larger than the left one. The parenchyma of the testis includes both straight and convoluted seminal tubules, which differ in shape and size. The nearest convoluted tubules differ significantly in the presence or absence of a free lumen and the differences in the diameter of these tubules directly depend on changes in the thickness of the spermatogenic epithelium. This gives us the right to assert that a decrease in the thickness of the spermatogenic epithelium can affect the functional activity of the testis.
