Worldview of drug dependent persons

The article discusses the results of a study of the worldview of persons with drug dependence compared to people who do not use drugs. It is stated that for individuals without drug dependence is characterized by the presence of goals aimed at the future, the emotional richness and fullness of meaning of life, satisfaction with life and satisfaction with the process of selfrealization. Persons with drug dependence is characterized by the disappointment in past life events, shame for the events and appeal to the memories of the past. In the system of vital meanings significant are the beliefs that life goes on, life plans are not feasible, life is not subject to personal control. Dominated by hedonistic life meanings, the desire to obtain immediate gratification, avoidance of problem solving, acceptance of life for what it is. It is shown that drug-dependent person rarely correlate their thoughts and actions with the interests of other people and more centered on their own feelings and experiences, demonstrate oppositional behavior, which may manifest itself, both covertly and explicitly, in avoiding contact, or, on the contrary, the explicit protest against established laws and regulations. The inner world of the addict’s personality is characterized by a low degree of development and represents a simplified model of folded vision, understanding and perception of the world. Subjects without drug dependence have sufficiently developed the inner world, realizing your inner potential and wanting to achieve success in your life.
