Missionary activity of ROC among old belief in the Orenburg diocese in 1905-1917

In article change of policy of the state and ROC in relation to Old Belief church owing to the decree «About Strengthening of the Beginnings of Toleration» and also a consequence of this decree, both for ROC, and for the Russian Old Belief is described. Conditions and methods of missionary activity of ROC are described, the administrative facilities of orthodox missionaries in the Orenburg diocese are presented. A chronological framework of article is caused by the publication of the decree «About Strengthening of the Beginnings of Toleration» on April 17, 1905, as the upper bound convocation of the V missionary congress in July - August, 1917 is allocated. In this article the attempt to light evolution of missionary activity of ROC is made, having described her methods in 1905-1917, to sum up the results of development of missionary activity in relation to Old Belief in Russia. The attempt to characterize reaction of Old Belief church to change of policy of the state and Russian Orthodox Church in relation to religion during the specified period on the basis of materials of «The Orenburg diocesan sheets» is made.
