The article is devoted to the study of musicals as a key factor in the development of the modern art market. Musicals, as a synthetic genre combining music, drama, choreography and set design, have a significant impact on cultural, economic and social spheres. The article examines the economic aspects of the influence of musicals, provides data on the financial performance of successful productions such as «The Phantom of the Opera» and «Les Miserables», whose fees amounted to billions of dollars, demonstrating the steady demand for the genre. It is concluded that musicals are not only an important part of the entertainment industry, but also a significant driver of cultural and economic transformation. They stimulate innovation in the art market, expand the audience and contribute to the formation of new approaches to the development of the modern creative economy.
