Multi-unit wind power plant for areas with low wind potential

In most of the territory of Russia, low average periodic wind speeds are observed. Wind power plants (WPP) are designed for a narrow range of wind speeds. To increase the efficiency of the wind turbine in an extended range of wind speeds, it is proposed to combine a wind turbine with different parameters with a generator using an additive hydraulic unit. The wind speed is irregular, so the need for energy storage is gaining in importance. It is proposed to add an intermediate link in the form of a hydraulic module, consisting of hydraulic pumps, a hydraulic accumulator, a hydrogenerator and a hydraulic accumulator, to the design of a wind turbine with a classical scheme. This paper presents the results of a study of the operation of wind power plants with different parameters, substantiates the prospect of using a multi-unit wind power plant to increase the efficiency of wind energy use for areas with low wind potential. Calculations of the accumulation of surplus energy are carried out. The output power of the MAVEU generator at wind speeds of 4-5 m / s is more than 2 times higher than in a wind turbine with separate generators, at wind speeds up to 7 m / s, the power of a multi-unit wind turbine is approximately 2-3 times greater than the sum of the powers separate wind turbines.
