Multilingual electronic resources of Russian public libraries: overview of the current state

The article deals with the role of the Russian public libraries as "memory institutions" in the creation of multilingual electronic resources. The main activity is the digitization of documents reflecting the history and culture of a particular ethnic group and the creation of appropriate digital libraries. The national libraries as Central libraries of subjects of the Russian Federation, as well as the Republic of Adygea, Bashkortostan, Udmurt Republic, Republic of Karelia, Komi, Tatarstan, Chuvash Republic, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) are highlighted. Among the regional libraries- the Stavropol regional universal scientific library named after M. Lermontov and Murmansk state regional universal scientific library.
