The article presents the experience of mobilizing the youth into educational institutions of the State labour reserves on the eve of and at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945; it describes the mechanism of mobilization management, the methods of forming the contingent of the youth called up for the service and its distribution by the areas of manpower training.
