The model of functioning of the router was developed and the influence of faults of com-munication canals on its reliability by the factor of serviceable condition probability was esti-mated. The metrics of reliability of the network, which applies different routing protocols, in case of number of communication canals with limited reliability and the intensity of their faults, were researched.
