The image positioning model of an innovation university in Russia (on the example of national research Tomsk State University)

In the article the ways of the territory positioning (city, region, country) using innovation universities as a unified platform for the development of education, science and production are analyzed. In the situation of the increase of requirements to the universities as innovation subjects they should present an effective communication strategy of their image positioning. Positioning of National Research Tomsk State University (TSU) as an innovation university and its influence on the state positioning in whole is studied. Tomsk State University uses different innovation instruments not only for the economic growth but for its political image positioning in the country and outside. The possibilities for international positioning of Russian Federation due to the role of TSU as a strong innovation defense industry university are viewed separately. Such universities as TSU positively influence on the image of Russia as an innovation state and facilitate its integration in the global political and economic community.
