A model of economic assessment of the innovative potential of a higher educational institution has been developed. At the first stage, an assessment is made of the provision of individual components of the innovative potential with resources. At the second stage, the existing advantages and disadvantages of linear and nonlinear models are produced. The proposed model also involves assessing the effectiveness of the use of the innovative potential of the university.
