Model of use of resources world flora for formation of scientific - educational space of the Ural region

An analytical review of the state of the biodiversity conservation problem was made. Cultivation of plants in botanical gardens is considered as one of the leading methods of species conservation. Data on the number of collections and expositions of the Botanical Garden of the Ural State University are presented. Botanical identification and taxonomic analysis of collection funds were carried out, groups of economically important plants were identified. The degree of acclimatization of raw species and the prospects for their use in the Urals are determined. Ecological and biological characteristics of rare plant species have been compiled, many of which are included in the Red Data Book of Russia and the Red Data Book of the Middle Urals. A fund of seeds and planting stock was created to form introductory populations, reintroduction, planting and planting. It is proposed to consider the collection funds of the botanical garden as a powerful raw material resource for the development of industry, the solution of educational and social problems. Specific ways and ways of using scientific products of the botanical garden by different consumers are planned and partially realized.
