The problem of managing the adaptation of civil servants is one of the most demanded and significant in the field of personnel management of the state civil service. The process of adaptation of civil servants is not limited to the time frame of mastering professional skills, getting used to the team and the workplace. Innovative technologies and approaches are being introduced, professional maturity and the need for career growth among civil servants come. Personnel services should be ready to comprehensively support the needs of personnel in professional adaptation, formation and development. The article discusses the experience of developing and implementing a model for managing the adaptation of civil servants. The implementation of adaptation programs in the areas highlighted in the model, taking into account the need for constructive interaction with the external environment in the process of professional adaptation, contribute to the achievement of positive indicators of the successful adaptation of civil servants. It is advisable to devote the main part of the programs to the professional development and training of civil servants in accordance with modern trends in digitalization, project management, environmental friendliness, thrift, etc. A significant place in the adaptation of civil servants should be occupied by the direction of the conformity of the way of thinking and behavior of adapters to the ethics of the civil service, its values and the idea of serving the society.
