The article deals with forming the theory of institution modeling, which includes principles and ideas that reflect the rules of social development in institution economy theory. Scientific principles of institution modeling postulated by masters in institution theory are considered. Scientific ideas based on the results of the author's design, formalization and measuring economic institution are suggested. Practical application of the institution modeling theory have been reviewed.
