The article presents results of the modeling of staffing needs of the real economy in the Republic of Crimea on the basis of the developed nonlinear mathematical model, the target function of which is a weighted sum of squared deviations taking into account key figures of student admission from staff requirement according to the main types of economic activities. It has been found that the applied model is quite appropriate for applying in the context of labour shortage, since it takes into account the demand for personnel in the real economy and the availability of state-funded scholarships for basic education programs.
