Modeling threats to small and medium business from the use of parallel imports

The article explores the possibility of using methods for modeling threats to small and medium-sized businesses from the use of parallel imports. In addition, the article analyzes various interpretations of the term «parallel imports» and scientifically proves the compliance of such actions with all the requirements of the World Trade Organization. The proposal to create an adaptive threat model for small and medium-sized businesses from using parallel imports is new. Various approaches to the formation of a model based on the adaptation of the economy of the Russian Federation to new conditions are considered. New opportunities for minimizing the risks of using parallel imports based on preventive measures are shown, which contributes to the formation of a protection mechanism based on the principles of anticipation. The analysis of scientific sources offering various methods for identifying threats to small and medium-sized businesses from the use of parallel imports was carried out. The analysis showed the need to form adaptive models that consider new realities in politics and economics, including the possibility of blocking international banking systems. The model considers the possible consequences caused by the presentation of claims from the owners of trademarks, goods and services imported into the country using parallel imports. The model allows all business entities of small and medium-sized businesses to find optimal solutions when using parallel imports. Formalization of the decision-making mechanism on the use of parallel import allows you to automate the management process. The classification of risks associated with the use of parallel imports proposed by the author makes it possible to use classes in the model. Approbation of the model in MS Excel shows the possibility of using it in automated systems.
