Model and analytical assessment tools of energy efficiency in the regions of the south of Russia

The implementation of strategies for socio-economic development of the country’s regions at present is largely determined by the availability of their full-fledged resource support for projects and activities incorporated in relevant strategic documents. At the same time, in conditions of weak positive economic dynamics and limited resources of various types, increasing the volume of attracted resources, and increasing the effectiveness of their use, is becoming considerably important. In the Russian context, this is especially relevant for energy resources, which is determined by low energy efficiency indicators and a significant potential for their improvement. Decisionmaking on the choice of directions and means for improving energy efficiency in the context of strategic development requires identification and assessment of factors that have a stimulating or limiting effect on the efficiency of the use of fuel and energy resources.
