Modernization of CIS libraries: reflection in model legislation

The article is devoted to the problem of constant updating of the model library legislation of the CIS countries, additions and changes in the legal regulations of librarianship, including new areas of activities that are the result of the development of library theory and practice. These include innovative, informational, international and ethno-cultural activities of libraries. The development of model legislation also presumes inclusion concepts, provisions and recommendations in the system of bylaws. The proposals for model recommendations concerning legal deposit copies of printed publication in electronic form are considered in the article.
