Updating of engineering education in the context of import substitution focus

The article analyzes the Russian historical experience of reformation of higher technical education. According to the authors, its lessons should be drawn in the updating of engineering education, the decent level of which is a factor determining technological and economic independence of the Russian Federation nowadays.
