Modernization of constitutional legal regulation of personal data protection in Europe: strengthening of regional integration

The article examines the current process of modernization of the constitutional legal regulation of personal data protection in Europe. The author discovers the main causes and problems of the modernization, explores initiatives of European institutions aimed at the strengthening of European integration. It is concluded, that the experience of European institutions may be implemented in development of a legal policy of Russia in the field of personal data protection.
