Modernization of low pressure pneumatic system for railway diagnostics optical sensors protection of hi speed electric train Siemens Velaro RUS is proposed. The method of pressure loss calculation in the pneumatic system taking into account local Reynolds numbers is developed. The efficiency of the modernization is estimated - the pressure loss decreased 1.78 times in comparison with the original design.
