Modernization of the legal system of China

The article deals with the formation and development of the legal system of China and the prospects for its further improvement. The paper notes that within a short period an extensive work has been carried out to create the legislative base that supports the existence of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The author concludes that uniformity and balance in legal system development are provided by the following factors: the balance between self-checking of the state and control of civil society institutions, the balanced approach to the principles of justice and openness, as well as the existence of morals and morality in practice of independent and competent lawyers.
