Modernization of enterprises of shipbuilding and ship repair based on the implementation of automated information technology

Ship repair plays an important role in the shipbuilding market of Russia. Over the past 10 years the worldwide competition in the industry has increased dramatically. In order to increase competitiveness, Russian ship repair enterprises need to introduce information technologies in management. This article discusses the general questions of informatization in the management of repair companies. It also discloses the need for the integrated automation of production management, the formation of operational, technological and reporting documentation of shipyards. The analysis of software systems that have been successfully used at Russian shipyards is conducted.
