Modernization of industrial equipment at the consumer goods enterprises in Orenburg and Chelyabinsk regions in 1950-60's

The article is concerned with modernization of the consumer goods industry enterprises in the Sothem Ural in 1956-1965 by studying cases of Orenburg and Chelyabinsk Regions. Basing upon the archival documents analysis the author reveals reasons, specifics and issues of the rational utilization of the new equipment and Soviet Union's policy regarding this question.
