The effective optical pulse generators and compressors based on the anomalous dispersion decreasing fibers are considered. We propose a mechanism for the generation of pulse trains with ultra-high repetition rate in the development of modulation instability of the chirped seed wave. The role Raman self-scattering has been also discussed. The results of numerical simulations of the investigated processes are presented.
