The youth and social networks

Today one can observe the unique process of forming a new generation, the generation of social networks. Rapidly evolving Internet technologies and social networks have already become for modern young people not just an additional convenient tool, but also a vital necessity. However, social networks nowadays are not only new opportunities, but also new threats. They are the space, where such concepts as communication and interaction change their ordinary meanings. Internet addiction, criminal and extremist organizations that use social networks have caused the development of new global problems of modern society. Because of that, the main research task of the article is to understand how all these processes influenced the life of modern Russian youth.
