This publication introduces into scientific discourse new coin finds from the Kuban region discovered during excavations of Krasnaya Batareya 2 and 3 in 2015. The complex includes a hillfort and an unfortified settlement located at Krasnaya Batareya, which is a farmstead in the Krymskiy district of the Krasnodar region. The site is among the most widely-known ones and is often mentioned in archaeological literature. In 2015 the excavations led by N. F. Shevchenko were carried out at Krasnaya Batareya 2 and 3. The occupation layer, though not very thick and not stratified, contains a lot of Roman materials. The 2015 excavations yielded 8 coins: Roman denarii and their imitations as well as coins minted in the Bosporan Kingdom (Fig. 1: 1-8). The coins date to the first half of the 3rd century BC - first half of the 4th century AD and are a valuable source for exploring history of Roman - Bosporan relations. They also shed light on money circulation in the Bosporan Kingdom during the period of the Roman Empire.
