The article is devoted to Mongolian-Russian relations in the socialist period. This is the most important period in the history of modern Mongolia. Russia stood at the origins of Mongolia's independence and sovereignty within the territorial boundaries in which it exists to this day. Since 1921, Russia and Mongolia have come a long way from the struggle for the independence of Mongolia to the fall of the world socialist system. The article considers the main stages of relations: pre-war period, Second World War and the second half of the 20th century.
