Mongolrabfak in educating the Mongols (1930-1940)

The article is devoted to the study of the Russian-Mongolian cooperation in the field of education in the 1930-1940s. An important milestone in the establishment of that cooperation is the activity of the Mongolian faculty for workers in Verkhneudinsk. The article has pointed at the main aspects of Mongolrabfak, the reasons for establishing workers’ school in the territory of BMASSR, characteristic of educational and training activities. The key biographical facts of the Mongolrabfak’s teachers are highlighted, they have made a significant impact on the formation of national manpower of Mongolia in that period. The prominent figures of education and science of Buryatia, they encouraged the scientific, cultural and social progress not only of the native land, but also of the neighboring Mongolia. In particular, the invaluable contribution was made by the Buryat teachers into education of the Mongolian youth, who were further destined to become the elite of the national intelligentsia of Mongolia in the second half of the XXth century.
