Monitoring the ecological state of St. Petersburg city reservoirs on zoobenthos indicators

The zoobenthos of three lake-river systems was investigated in the spring, in the summer and fall of 2013. Not synchronism of a response of community on action of natural and anthropogenous factors which is shown in distinctions of seasonal dynamics of quantitative characteristics, structural indices of community and biotic indexes of a zoobenthos is noted. As a whole, on zoobenthos indicators the studied water systems show a steady tendency to degradation. The structure and functional activity of a zoobenthos characterizing different conditions of water ecosystems can be used in monitoring, supplementing each other. As the indicator of toxicity of pollution it is possible to use existence in selections of a considerable share of individuals with morphological deviations.
