The studies were conducted from 2004 to 2012 in Koibal foothill steppe region, in the lakeside low of Lake Kurinka. The paper presents the results of a long-term monitoring of vegetation on the halophytic meadows, obtained through both traditional geo-botanical studies and modern methods of satellite monitoring. These results should be considered for nature protection planning in the studied region.
