The results of the conducted monitoring research on the detection of the satisfaction of university students by educational space are presented in the article. The concept educational space is analysed. During the research the following needs are revealed: increase in the activity of students in optimization of the educational space of a higher education institution, search and creation of various forms of interaction of students and teachers during extracurricular time, increase in the level of knowledge of students concerning higher educational institution's activities.
