This article presents the results of a study devoted to the study of age-related changes in morphometric parameters of the lymphatic capillaries of the colon of rabbits of postnatal ontogenesis. The results of the study allow us to establish changes in the structures of the lymphatic supply of the colon in rabbits at different stages of their life. The obtained experimental data convincingly confirm the presence of significant age-related changes in the lymphatic system. The results of the analysis indicate that these changes play a critical role in ensuring adequate lymphatic drainage, which is vital for maintaining health and normal functioning of the body. It is important to note that the results of the study are consistent with the data described in domestic and foreign scientific papers. This indicates the comparability of the identified adaptation mechanisms in mammals, regardless of their species. Based on the results of our own studies, we can conclude that there are general patterns in the development of the lymphatic system in different species of mammals during postnatal development. Thus, this study not only deepens the understanding of age-related changes and regulatory mechanisms in the lymphatic system of rabbits, but also encourages further research into the formation and functioning of the lymphatic system in the colon of rabbits.
