The paper presents the general theoretical concepts of mucociliary system of the respiratory tract and analyzed data on mucociliary insufficiency with allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma. The study included patients of different age groups with clinical and morphological methods. The main morphological methods: study semithin sections, ultrathin sections in the study by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and the study of the surface structures using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Revealed similar and alternative changes in mucociliary system of the nose and bronchi in allergic diseases: allergic rhinitis (AR) and bronchial asthma (BA).
