We carried out ultrasonic duplex phleboscanning in patients with varicose disease of clinical classes C4-C6. The study included 90 patients been divided into 3 groups: I - clinical class С4, II - clinical class С5, III класс - clinical class С6. The method of investigation: ultrasonic examination with following statistic processing. One demonstrated that in varicose disease of clinical classes С4-С6 they have essential morphofunctional changes in veins of lower extremities in comparison the norm as in change of varicose disease severity degree. Type of morphology is presented as the important predisposing factor of severe course of varicose veins (particularly in I-type, in groups С5-С6 this type occurs 29,2 and 84,2% of cases respectively). In 86% of patients with varicose veins C4-C6 diameter of saphenofemoral junction in orthostasis is above 10 mm. Evident enlargement of saphenofemoral junction is characteristic for varicose veins with active leg ulcers (р
