To prevent UV-damage of skin in a composition of cosmetics products are injected UV-filters: physical and chemical. As chemical UV-filters are used antioxidants. The article presents the results of morphological assessment of the preventive actions of ferulic acid as a UV-filter in the compound of lipophilic-hydrophilic ointment compositions. The most pronounced UV-protective effect of ferulic acid was fixed on ointment bases containing as emulsifiers Olivem 1000 and a base emulsifier. The results are correlated with the data on the rate of release of ferulic acid in experiments in vitro.
