Morphological and morphometric results of contactless effect of cold plasma on articular cartilage in experiment

To treat osteoarthritis effectively, it is necessary to achieve a stable edge and smooth articular cartilage surfaces. Results of clinical observations have demonstrated the advantages of cold-plasma ablation debridement of articular cartilage. We evaluated the efficacy of the cold-plasma ablation technique by using morphological and morphometric studies. Cold-plasma ablation has been shown to be effective and safe in debriding articular cartilage lesions, achieving edge stability and a smooth articular cartilage surface.
