Neoplastic infiltration of the liver, intoxication and cytostatic therapy are associated with profound polymorphic changes of liver structure, including extensive dystrophic (fatty, involutive, pigmental) and heterogenous necrotic processes, diffuse fibrosis. Neoplastic infiltration of the liver combined with polychemotherapy induces prominent intra- and extracellular cholestasis. Immunosuppression causes activation of bacterial, viral and mycotic infection and aggravation of hepatic damage.
