To protect hydrosystem tailraces against scour, we performed the retrieval of patent information on structures of vortex guide systems known from the hydraulic engineering practice. The morphological analysis of the structures of vortex devices allowed us to establish characteristics of mobile baffles required to protect hydrosystem tailraces against scour.
