Morfometric parameters of rats' adrenal glands in dynamics of sharp alcoholic intoxication

Comparative morphological research of adrenal glands of rats in dynamics of alcoholic intoxication after intragastric introductions of 40 % of ethanol solution in a dose of 8 ml / kg showed that the peculiarities reflecting increasing activity of fascicularis and reticularis zones and cerebral substance appear 1 hour after ethanol introduction and the increase of glands activity occurs gradually within 8 hours. Morphofunctional activity of glomerularis zone cells of both glands up to the fourth hour of an intoxication is reduced and then gradually increases; but in left adrenal gland does not achieve baseline level by the end of the eight-hour period.
