The analysis of chewing surface М3 structure at northern red-backed voles and bank voles of the Middle Trans-Urals showed natural complication of the masticatory surface of tooth while advancing to the north. Also found that the structure of masticatory surface of the tooth M3 at red backed vole characterized by a large variety and greater complexity of morphotypes compared to the M3 at bank vole. Morphotypical variability of tooth M1 clear connection with the environment is not showing, which indicates the possible influence of additional factors. It was identified some aspects of age variability M1 and M3 bank vole.
