Far eastern branch of the Russian Sea Rescue Service: historiography of the issue

The article analyzes the historiography of the sea rescue service of the Russian Far East, defines a number of stages in the history of its study and summarizes the main directions of research of this issue in Russian and foreign historiography, offering a broad overview of the studies undertaken by Far Eastern scholars. The author concludes that most of the papers devoted to the history of branches of the service were concerned with central regions of Russia. The history of the Far Eastern branch of National Sea Rescue Service was studied irregularly and requires a serious scientific and critical approach and a search for new sources.
